Monthly Golf Tip

This tip is aims to improve your grip and reduce you slicing or hooking the ball.

Weak Grip
A weak grip promotes a weak ball flight and makes it more difficult for the forearms to rotate through the hitting area, causing the ball to slice off to the right.

Too many knuckles on show on the right hand causing the clubface to open through impact resulting in a slice.

Strong Grip

Strong Grip Closed Clubface

Neutral Grip
At address you should be able to see 3 knuckles on the left hand. On your right hand let your thumb and forefinger point to your right shoulder. Try to keep a light grip pressure and allow both hands to work together. This will help you to return the clubface square to the target and hit straighter shots.
