When putting in the wind many golfers don't realise how much the wind affects the ball on the green. If you see leaves and loose impediments blowing along the ground, your ball will be affected by the wind. The wind can affect the speed and line of a putt. Below I have allowed for a couple more inches of break to the right, because the wind is blowing strongly into my face and will increase the amount the ball will move.
While putting a strong wind can also blow you off balance affecting the strike on the ball and the putter face position at impact. Therefore affecting the two most important factors when putting = distance control and direction. To help to cope with strong winds, widen your stance and choke down on the club. By widening your stance and lowering your centre of gravity this helps your body remain stable though the stroke.
