Welcome To Anthony Haste Golf

I am a Class AA PGA Golf Professional and have 14 years experience in the golf industry specialising in the following areas ; Golf Tuition, Golf Operations, Custom Fit and Golf Fitness.

After 7 years at The Belfry working as a PGA Professional, I am now the Head Golf Professional at The Tytherington Club in Macclesfield.

I qualified as a PGA professional in 2005 in which I achieved 10th place in the Trainee of the Year Awards with the PGA of UK and Ireland. Whilst undertaking my PGA training at the Belfry I was fortunate to gain experience in the various aspects of the golf industry including The PGA National Golf Academy, where I taught a wide range of golfers from beginners to elite and county standard. Alongside this I worked as a Custom fit specialist, fitting clubs to the customers’ exact specification. In order to enhance my knowledge of the impact of fitness in golf I gained additional experience as a fitness instructor in the leisure club. I further enhanced my skills of the business side of golf as an Operations Manager overseeing the daily running of the 3 golf courses and more latterly as Golf Sales Account Manager looking after over £1.4 million worth of golf business. In this role I was nominated as sales newcomer of the year in the national sales awards.

Having coached consistently for the last 10 years I have developed a well rounded appreciation of various different coaching styles from a number of professionals including Pete Cowan (European tour coach), Alistair Davies (PGA Tutor / Ladies European Tour Coach) and Gary Alliss (PGA Swing Tutor and Today's Golfer Top 20 Golf Coach in the UK and Ireland.) to name but a few. This has enabled me to develop my own teaching ethos and style developing skills in coaching all levels of golfer to enable them to achieve their individual goals and aspirations. I have experience in the many different types of tuition. These have included junior, beginner, seniors and ladies groups, schools, corporate golf clinics, fun zones and video lessons (including MAT-T). I have experience of coaching county golfers, the Oxford University team and from September 2005 to March 2007 I was selected as the English Deaf Golfers Association Coach. I have recently been appointed as a Cheshire county academy coach, selecting talented juniors and coaching them to maximise their potential. I have utilised a variety of teaching systems including Quintic, GASP and V1.

Over the past 2 ½ years I have developed the teaching academy at The Tytherington Club and delivered a high quality service to all members and guests. I have increased the junior membership usage from 4 golfers to 20 golfers, with the numbers still steadily increasing. I have taken a lead in nurturing and developing juniors’ interest in the game, taking a lead in organising events with other golf clubs. I have taken an active role in promoting golf in local schools developing a programme as part of their weekly sports lesson to which positive feedback has been obtained.

I am passionate about providing a high quality service in which I seek to empower others to achieve their golfing aspirations. To enable me to do this I seek opportunities to continue to develop my own skills and remain abreast of the latest technologies and business acumen. One of the ways in which I do this is through regular attendance at relevant CPD and training events and the maintenance of valuable contacts to ensure the best service for my clients. I have a broad base of golfing expertise in all areas of the golfing industry to enable me to provide a service to the highest possible standard including coaching, running golf days, corporate clinics, custom fitting, golf fitness awareness and access to golf holidays for those seeking something different.
